On August 15, 2006, Transitive announced it entered into a strategic relationship with IBM. Transitive will provide its QuickTransit technology to IBM to allow applications compiled for Linux/X86 to run on IBM's System p Servers. Servers equipped with QuickTransit are anticipated to be deployed in early 2007. The relationship is focused on enhancing the server software ecosystem and accelerating customer migration to selected IBM server products.
